Best time to take this trip
That route is NOT set in stone
I will be taking backroads for the most part
Also taking the PCH down the west coast
Camping and Hoteling, if that's a word, along the way
Planning on side trips, getting lost, getting rained on, being cold, being hot, meeting nice people, meeting not so nice people, etc...
As for the Corbin Seat visit, we have a Corbin an hour away in Daytona Full store
I run a SheepSkin Pro Pad w/ gel/memory foam that enables me to ride all day in comfort
I don't want to get back and say "I should have...."
Thanks again and feel free to continue to comment

I live in the west (Southern BC) and ride these areas a lot - let me know if you would like some suggestions.

Rexbuck, the route is NOT the actual roads I will be traveling on.
I just used this pic as a general area map shot of my route.
Ca is a very big state - as you have it mapped - your taking the hottest and most boring route - I know you said its not set in stone and you plan to do the PCH along the coast.
I have done both of these and they both are nice - I truly believe the Northen coast from SF to OR is a lot nicer and less crowed - Much more rugged. Keep alert on the Coast ride - SF is a very different place - If you ride in or around the city - be on high alert - traffic is just unbelievable.. Its bad all the time with the roads becoming 'parking lots' during morning/afternoon rush hour....
