+1 on the clearview. After trying a boatload of different windshields I finally settled on the 9.5" w/recurve. It's a quality product and works really well for me at 6'2".
Yep, 8.5 recurve works great for me. Sundowner, 6'1" when I hold my hand around in the airflow in front of my head I can feel where the bubble of quiet air is. Perfect for me up to highly illegal speeds. I do have a 10" shield that I use for two up riding and it does quiet things down a bit for the radio - but looks a little "too touristy" to leave on all the time.
Same here the sundowner mates up real nice with my 8" recurve.
Just got my 9 1/2" recurve with light smokey tint and the quality is excellent. Easy install and it works exactly as advertised. I'm 6' and the 9 1/2" recurve moves the air up over my helmet better than the stock 12" shield. Only negative is the wait time from time of order to delivery.
I got the XL with recurve and light tint for my Rd Glide, primarily for benefit of my wife/passenger. Does a good job on wind protection. Negatives are looking almost right through the recurve which causes a bit of distortion, and I feel like the overall surface area of the XL catching more wind tends to make the bike want to move around more at speed.
I got my Clearview shield for my Road Glide a couple of weeks ago. I chose the GT Small. All I can say is it is perfect.
I am 5' 10". I now have a great view of the road no edge of the shield in my line of sight. Better protection and no more wind buffeting. I still get enough air to make the ride comfortable.
Way better product than I had hoped for. 2 THUMBS UP.
My CV Medium for my '09 Road Glide arrived today.
It is the BEST windshield I have owned, hands down.
I'm 5'11" with an Ultra seat on my RG, I'm looking about 3" over
the new CV medium (1.5" higher than stock).
I've always complained (to myself) about buffeting hitting my helmet visor
when it's up causing my glasses to dance around inside my helmet.
NO MORE......even at 80 mph.
Clearview is going to get all of my business from now on.
I have a 9.5" tinted clearview on my 09 SG and love it. At 6'2" and 250lbs with a Corbin dual touring seat it works great. I look over the shield but it offers good protection as well as allows you to hear the tunes, but still looks good. The stock 4" shield on the SG looks good but was useless. Tried the 10.5" clearview but was looking at the top of the shield. Spoke with John and he suggested I try both and as long as I returned the one I did not want with all the stickers and wrap on it full refund just cost me shipping back. Great customer service.
