I have spent the last hour looking (with no success)looking through the search for some answers so your help would be apreciatied.
When I activate the EITMS system by turning the throttle back my cruise controll light turns from red to blue like the system is working.
Then I try it with the bike running and I can't tell any difference in the idle. It dosen't seem like the rear cylinder is cutting out. Am I missing something here?
Does the temp need to be real hot before it will work or is my SERT keeping it from working?
The engine has to be over 300 f the bike has to be stopped and engine has to be at idle for heat managment to work. See pg14 of SERT user manual for this info. When you twist throttle backwards it enables heat managment it does not instantlly turn it on. When it is disabled (cruise light red) the heat managment will never come on no matter how hot it gets. When enabled bike still needs to meet above criteria before heat managment is active.
Thanks SteveUltra, I will check my user manual and see if I can make sense of this.
If I understand your response, my engine will need to reach 300 degrees before the heat management system will work because of the SERT.
Man..that sure seems hot!
