I thought with a SERT and pipes the ETMS did not work. Am I correct or wrong? I was at a light yesterday waiting and the cruise light was green oon the dash, and it started missing like it was running on 1 cylinder. HD Service manager told me it would NOT work with SERT. He is wrong or my bike is missing at lights.
Default is ON with late model bikes, and I think they *can* turn it OFF with the SERT, I believe, but you still have the ability to turn it ON - (roll back the throttle when stopped until the (cruise?) light flashes.)
I cannot imagine why an owner would not want the EITMS engaged... why?...I gotta know.
it only functions when the machine is above a preset temperature, at a stop...the rear cylinder will pump cooling air through the motor rather than burn gas and create heat.
i often manually engage the eitms at stops, by holding the throttle forward.

roll forward and hold a few secs it turns off, do it again it turns on. The cruise light changes color on mine. are you sure that you can manually turn it on before it reaches programed temp
