I have ordered pcv and se super trapp slip ons. I have recieved the pcv and am waiting. on the se suppertrapps. My worry is now that the se will be to loud for my wife and I will have a fight on my hands. I have sreaming egales on there now. Of the slip ons out there how do you rate them from quietest to loudest. Thanks
anyone else have any opinions on loudnees of differant slip ons. I may be in the market for another set of slip ons I want louder than screaming egales but not much
How long / many miles have you had the HD Screamin' Eagles becuase they do get louder over time / mileage? First change I noticed at around 500 miles, second change at around 2000 miles.
Well I have the new screamin eagles and i don't have a dB meter but i now have 5000 miles on them and I am sure they are close to twice as loud as they were new. I can even here them now when doing 80! I would be interested in your comparison when you get them.
Funny but I'm liking them more and more as they get louder. The best part of them is that they still get (almost) totally quiet when cruising and with the right RPMs and speed. Thats something I just couldn't accomplish with Monster ovals which were loud all the time.

I had them on for 17,000 miles on my 07 and so far they have been on for 12,000 miles on my 09 They do sound better now than new but I would like some thing that would sound a little louder
Are they "09" cans or did you reinstall your 07 cans on your 09? Because your 07s were made by a different manufacturer then the 09s are. The pre 09s are made by Supertrapp and I believe the 09s are made by Vance & Hines.
I just put on the Supertrapp SE's and they are not very much louder than stock. They say about 3db. I'm a bit dissapointed (coming from V&H Big Shots on my Fatboy), but my wife likes em and the guys who ride behind me like em!
