RE: Roadglides Owners... What is the difference..?
ORIGINAL: Rhubarb
Too bad its not an '03 with the black/chrome motor.
I agree I hate the looks of the Silver engine. Had one with my 01 Softail after 20,000mile on it the engine looked like Sh-T. IMOP Harley Davidson made a mistake making them silver. I think the Black engine's look alot better.
RE: Roadglides Owners... What is the difference..?
I have almost 20,000 miles on my '04 FLTRI and she sings! Mine is Sierra Red, 95 ci, 204 cams V&H true duals, Samson rolled thunder mufflers, HD Fuel Tuner, Stage II. The black and silver on the used bike you are looking at is beautiful. The above fellas are right in saying the only diff in the '06 is the radio and the slightly different head intake port flange.
Personally, I think the silver engine complements the paint scheme well.
My 2 cents is to buy the '04........and ride the heck out of it.
One thing about the 06's is that 2006 was the first year for the new emissions "stuff". THat may or may not make a difference down the road, but it was enough incentive for me to get an an 05 rather than an 06.
