Default Stereo problem

Hey guys, I am having a problem with my stereo on my '97 ultra. The power will cut on and off while going down the road. I pulled the fairing and greased the 2 connections coming out of the unit. Tightened the ground on the back of the unit and checked all the fuses behind the left cover. It still does it. Any ideas?

The one on my Road Glide will play loud and then faded down, I have not pulled the faring apart yet to check the wiring but it sounds like a loose connection. This may be tomorrows project, Todays was new throttle cables, cables went on easy but the dang brass furell were a pain in the butt.

Is there a speaker switch anywhere? Not familiar with the '97 Ultra. I recommend checking ALL connections. If there is a switch that allows use of headset or speakers, I would check its connections.

Be prepared to loose your bike for awhile, a guy here at work had his in for a radio issue under warrenty and it was 3-4 weeks before he got it back.
