bump, trying to get away cheap on this part of my project but my have to end up getting the Badlands ILL-01-A. Just do not need the other features it has. I would think one of Harley many other modules would work but not sure what other models have the same connectors as the 08 touring. May take off one of the plugs and take it to one of the dealers that have a lot of stock to see if I can match it up.

The 69461-06A should work as it's for softails 96 later and 97 later touring models. It'll come with the pancake flat red lenses but module should work.
Tried this last night and this will not work. The connectors are different. Does anyone have a part number for a Harley version that will work on a 2008 RG.
Thanks
I've got this problem with my 2009 ultra. anyone know of easiest fix or part # on the new connector the module needs? I have my module left over from my 2007 1200c that I traded in and want to put on the back of my ultra. different plugs but same wire count so I'm thinking I can get the male/female connectors like what is on my ultra from the dealer and swap the plugs on the module to match. anyone have part # on the plugs?
That is a good idea Slackwolf, wished I would have thought about that. Just sold the wife's sportster and left the module on there since the connectors were different. You are right though you should be able to just buy new connectors and swap them out making sure to get the pins in the right place in the plugs. I am just going to end up getting one on the ones from Badlands since I need the load equealizers for the front and rear since I am going with all LEDs and they have one that is plug and play and has the run/turn/brake and load equalizers built in for the front and rear.
even if the connectors are the same, there are some differences in the module itself. i had one on my old sporty and it would fit on my roadking, but did not work. i thought maybe bad module, but when i put it back on my sporty, it would work, then back on the road king, no workie..... BUT, that was the old module that was brake/turn only without the running lights feature (which i have disabled on my new one anyway)
page 657 multi fit section in the 09 parts and accessories catalog. pn 69462-06A i've been using this setup on my 08 streetglide, which has the same rear lighting as the roadglide, and it's a great item for safety. otherwise, you got one bulb that can burn out or vibrate loose, leaving you in the dark, and ready to get run into. years past i used to get the front take off turn signals, and wire the low element to the taillight for three rear running lights rather than just the one. this kit accomplishes almost the same thing. a great improvement for safety. it does light up the *** end of the harley indeed.
the only problem i found is that the running lights are so damn bright that it looks like your brakes are on all the time. thats why i went with the mod that eliminates the running lights function, but utilizes all three as a brake light. no mistaking that!

that's the module part # I have but the connector on the module is a single flat line of pins and my ultra's plug is a double rowed plug. same number of pins and same wire color code, but different connector for some reason. I just need to find the part #
69467-06A is the module for touring bikes. The original one on my Road King got smashed one time when the seat sort of got in the way, so I was riding past a dealer and stopped in. Grabbed a kit, and while I was getting ready to check out, mentioned that I had the mod already, but the module was smashed. He said let me part it out for you. No sense in paying for the lenses again. I figured I'd save $2-$3 at the most...$10 difference for two plastic lenses...
