Going to remove my inner fairing next wknd should be painted and back together by mid week, going to get it done in Vivid Black not a real fan of the white on white combo just my personal preferance, painter asked me if I wanted a small amount of metal flake added to paint,I was wondering if anyone had any opinions if I should go with plain black or add a little flake.
Thanks any feedback would be appreciated
If your gonna do black why not just a plain black and a flat clear ? If your not painting to match the bike why get fancy. It will look better forever with the clear so why not flat.. Why does it have to be shiny.. This way it looks stock but its a lot better and easier to care for.. If i was doing it that would be me but id also like to see it match the bike and I dont think its too much white ...

Until my recent paint job, my bike was birch white and I had the inner painted vivid black with fine silver flake--looked outstanding--2+ years ago. It was a very fine silver flake and you wouldn't notice it from 10 feet awary. But from about 5 feet or closer you could see the flake and I got many compliments on it. Of course, sitting on the bike riding I could always enjoy it.
Your painter is right; go with vivid black with silver flake; you'll be glad you did.
The two-tone inners I've seen (Dawg's for one) on here are done on bikes that are already two-tone with pinstriping. Doubt that similar design would work as well on your SG.
