Default throttle by wire issues??

Have there been any problems with the new throttle by wire on the 08 touring models? It would be one factor to consider as i am looking for either an 07 or 08 electra glide standard.

I have an '08 EGS and have had no issues thus far with about 11,500 miles.

the biggest complaint that I have heard about it is, there is no real resistantance with it like there is with the older bikes. I have a friend that complains about it all the time, but he is running a 113 motor too.

My bud's 08 is in the shop for a dead throttle, needs the controller because it got wet during a rain ride. Been 3 weeks without.
On another forum, heard of one with the same problem after being washed.

I was in a pretty damn good rain and have no problems. With that said if you turn your bike off with the rpm's above normal idal then that is where the idal will stay until you reset it with the switch on the tree....

No problems at all with mine. I have 18,000 miles in all types of weather. I have not heard of anyone in our H.O.G. chapter with any problems, either.

Only being home in Washington state for the winters, I ride in the rain a lot and have never had a problem with my 08 ultra.
