On a similar thread, someone posted a pic with them on. Does it make it harder to find the shifter since your foot is out farther? Considering you can't adjust the shifter out...........
Thanks
I've got the 1" spacers on a EGC and have not had any problem finding the shifter. If you find that it is a problem, you can get a 3/4" or 1" long chromed spacer and a longer stainless steel bolt from McMaster-Carr.
Got the same bike went with the one inch. Best thing I've done to the bike so far.
Just could find someone thats put some handlebars on one. Got to do something about them.
I have the 1 inch from Harley Goodies on my 09 SG. Very comfortable and no problem with shifter or brake. I agree that I have never scraped floorboards and do not see a reason to, but hey, I'm still learning.
I have an 08 with the 1" and I do scrap every once in a while. I really like the 1" mod and the scraping is no big deal to me. It does not happen very often.
I just ordered the 1" from SOOS, and he shipped the out the same day (gotta' love that service!). I thought about getting the 3/4", as I ride more aggressively some times, but I couldn't see the extra 1/4" making that much difference. Hope I'm not wrong!
Ordered mine last night after 11:00, I have them in hand already.
soos saw my mailing address and sent me an email saying I could pick them up if I wanted to. Come to find out we are both from the same neck of the woods. What other online company would treat you like that? Have a GREAT vaca.
I went with the 1" on my Ultra and love them. Have plenty of room to
move the dogs around. Also much easier to rest my heels on the boards and ***** of my feet on the pegs.
Had two sets of 3/4", then a 1" set and went with 3/4" on my 09. I liked the 3/4" on the 08 and earlier but kinda wish I had gone with the 1" on the 09. But the 3/4" work fine. Height has zero to do with it. It is a matter how much you like to kick your feet out to the sides and stretch your legs .
