I'm guessing my grips (Nostalgic) are stock (not sure since the bike had some dealer upgrades before I bought it). Any how, the grips feel like they have a coat of glue on them. I've tried cleaning them with soap and water and that sticky feeling returns the next day.
Anyone else experience this, and what have you done to cure it?

If you've gotten any sort of sunscreen on them, it's just a process of breaking down the rubber. It will take time, but it's inevitable. I'm just speaking from experience with the grips that I have on my Ultra. I don't have the grips your talking about. Mine just have bars of rubber on a chrome grip.
Try wiping them down with some alcohol, not the stuff ya drink either...LOL! May help for a few days, mine get that way after a few days of riding. Thats why I run with gloves most of the time.
the sticky is caused by the bacteria in your sweat
eating away the rubber grips. Get you some of those
anti bacterial wipes and keep them in your saddle bags,
then when your done rideing for the day
wipe the grips down no more problems
haha!! I had this problem. I stop to throw some sun screen on and theres never anywhere to wash my hands so I rum em on my pants and continue to ride. Sunscreen WILL make grips sticky. I find with a good washing the stick goes away but since I am a big fan of tanning and not burning I always get it on the grips.
I had this problem on my stock 07 Roadking - I replaced them with grips called black diamond! The grips are all metal - no stickness there!! The 30 minute replacement only took me 1.5 hours<grin> but I got em on and everything still works!!..that's a GOOD THING!
