Thumbs up Nelson Rigg half cover UV2000

Just letting everyone know just thought I would pass along my thought on this cover seeing it is HALF the price fo the Oasis HD cover and is better made.......I researched the bajeebers out of half covers before buying...Spent two days scouring forums and manufacturers web sites...Looking for UV protection, waterproof, durable materials, and overall fitment.

I finally decided to get the Nelson Rigg 1/2 cover UV 2000 (XL). This cover is VERY nice for the money ($44 plus FEE shipping). I have basically a Roadglide with a King tour pack with the spoiler LED kit on it. THe cover fits like it was made for it. I just bend the antenna over and put the cover on...This cover also folds up to nothing. It fits in a fanny pack size holder included in the $44 bucks..and it repacks to that size also, I have done it twice and not a problem getting it back in the pouch...

Has tie down spots in the right place to hook to the passenger floorboards, also could connect tothe blinkers if need be but it just fine on the floorboards...why bother with more.... it's waterproof...VERY NICE...I have had it for 2 days now and the weather here has been hovering at 90, I have to park my '06 RG out in FULL SUN and the last two days when I have left to go home, I have taklen off the cover and my seat is literally COOL to the touch. Simply amazing, I have had the Wal Mart full cover and used it last year, when I would leave to go home my seat would be so hot it was like I didn't even have a cover on it...

IF anyone is looking for a good half cover I would highly recommend this one...

You might want to check out one of our own HDUltraRider's site. http://www.techncyclegear.com/

He carries Nelson Rigg and can usually get anything you'd want. He also has a HDForum discount.

Just ordered mine from the Nelson Riggs website for $44.00 and free shipping.

Thanks for the tip - I've been looking for a half cover for my Road Glide for some time; I was disappointed that the HD Oasis cover did not fit well, and this Nelson Rigg cover sounds like the perfect solution.

I bought the HD Oasis cover for my Ultra, and can't say I'm crazy about the way it fits. I have a 9" shield on my bike, and while it's difficult to get the cover pulled down far enough to go over the turn signals, there's a sag left behind the shield that pockets water in the rain. This Nelson-Riggs looks like a better alternative.
