i run 18 pounds with my wife and 13 solo, i am 165 and she is 115....rides like a caddilac. i found any more then that it just jolts the **** out of you. when your passanger gets on the back and your bike doesnt move, you got to much air

Why would the dealer say not to go over 25 pounds? The manual says they can take more than that.

i keep it at 20psi check it yearly only have to add about 2 psi air beginning of the season

40 psi solo and with the wife.
50 to 55 psi with the trailer.

Wow, you guys with 30+ lbs, must be a very stiff ride! I put 13" standard shocks on my SG and run 11 or 12 lbs riding solo. I weigh around 218 and it never buttoms out. It's very smooth. I think the manual recommends 10 to 15 solo.

The 09 manual says 50 psi for the S.G. My 09 went from 40 to 20 in2 weeks. I have the H.D. hand pump so I didn't blow the seal.

I believe HD made a change on the air shocks in 09. The new ones take a much higher air pressure than earlier models.

I run 45 psi in an 09 electra ,Passenger and some gear.Roads around here not good.

The 09's use more air than previous model years. I've been running around 22 in my 08.
