Question Passenger Armrests

Can anybody help me out on this! I want to install passenger armrests for my wife on my 09 Ultra. Kuryakyn part#8989 says fits to 2008. Has anybody installed these on their Ultra, and can figure out why they won't fit an 09.

Thanks....

HiTech

A word of caution. My wife thought she wanted armrests until I let us tip over making a u-turn. Then she decided they might interfere with a quick bailout.

Kury has them but in my opinion they are BFU as they are not easily removed when not in use. Unless they've changed something in the last 2 years.

I have them on a 07 Ultra wife loves them and they will NOT interfere with a bail out if needed, there are just two bolts that hold the arms on the frame I can get both off less than 2 minutes.

The ones for an 08 don't fit a 09. I tried. Waiting to hear back from Kury on a fix, at least my dealer is.

i personally do not like the look of the kury arm rests.....MHO!

Instead I changed out my HD tour pack back rest to a mustang tour pack back rest - mustang arm rests are about 2" longer than the stock set-up.

i also bought the mustang one piece seat as well.

Kury sent me an e-mail and said that they should have the 09 armrest out by the end of July due to the change to the back end and tour pack. Had them on my 07 EGS and wife loved them, when I went to the 09 Ultra she has been on me about when are they going to have them I mean she is asking all the time she wants those things back.

Now they are saying the end of Aug first part of Sep.
