If you are blowing fuse's there is a problem "somewhere" this sytem should work with zero issues. Since the bike is an 01 it may be as simple as dirty / corroded connectors. A good electrical spray cleaner and some dielectric grease may do the trick but generally going to a larger fuse is just hidding the real problem which will show up at the worst possible time.
No trouble with mine. I think it's a great idea to increase lighting without adding more lights. (I did add Hyperlites too.)
BTW I don't think it's ever a good idea to just add bigger fuses without knowing exactly what you're doing. They don't usually come in 1 amp increments so you'd be going from like 15 to 20. Potential disaster there. (Check to see if the proper fuse is in that spot to begin with.)
Make sure you don't have hotter bulbs than you should have in either set of lights. You'll soon burn switches or other connections unless there's a relay somewhere in there.
Increasing fuse capacity by 5 amps isnt going to hurt anything... you could rewire your entire lighting system with heavy gauge wire & switches but I dont think that would be very practical...I was trying to give the guy a real world solution to his problem.
