Default pulls to the right......

If I take my hands off the bars, bike pulls slightly to the right. Not noticable with hands on the bars though.
With the wife on back, it's much worse. Can feel it with hands on the bars.
Is it a tire or motor alignment issue?

Check your rear wheel alignment, Did the rear axle come lose or some adjust the belt and only tighten one side of the adjusters?

Probably. A wrench I once knew test rode with no hands to make sure the alignment was correct. A quick check with the "bent wire gauge" in the service manual should tell you.

Had new tires put on a few weeks ago. Haven't had the ol lady on the back since then, until today. I'll check the rear tire. Thanks guys.

Got to thinking about this..... Asked the ol lady if she had been leaning and looking around me earlier today. She said yes. So we went out to dinner tonight and rode the bike. Asked her to sit up straight and I pulled my hands off the bars. Bingo. It was her that was causing the bad pull. Go figure. Damn I love easy fixes.

while we're on the subject my SG goes left. I have to lean way right to go straight with no hands. The belt cams are together on a 09 so I'm thinkin forks, open to ideas

I did a complete vehicle alignment in my garage on my 00EGC a few months ago, I made the wire tool to check the axle aignment and then used string to check to make sure the engine and frame were good, It had me making adjustments on both motor adjusters. I went step by step IAW the manual and what a difference it made. Good luck.

Mine pulled slightly to the left with my hands off the bars, I put my tool kit in the right saddle bag, now it goes straight.
