I stopped by the local dealer on the 4th to get my hotdog and see the bikes. They only had 1 ultra left with ABS, but it had a sold sign on it. The salesman came up and said it was really a "hold" until today, Tues, so I asked him to call me if the guy didn't buy it.
So, the last Ultra with ABS and a MSRP of $22,669. Since the 2010's are 2 week away, should I buy it or wait??
If I buy it, do I ask for a discount off the MSRP. Last year they discounted them $750 off MSRP but that was after the new ones arrived. I would like the bike, but would like it better at a discount. Are other dealers discounting yet??
What can I expect if I get the call the bike is available?
If the '09 is the color you want with the options you want, I'd try to get them to come down at least 1k if not more. Otherwise I'd go with the 2010. Offer 2k below MSRP and see what they say but if it's the only '09 Ultra they have they might not be willing to go down much.
i don't know where you are at - but the Harley Shop in Gettysburg, PA is taking 2k off the MSRP and giving you the 1,000 mile service for free if you buy one of the remaining 09's. I'd push for that...
You should definatly get it cheaper. I just got my RG cheap. It was an '09 but I seen liked and jumped at it. But you should always try to get it cheaper and they are going to mark up the '10s anyways so buy this one now and enjoy.
Wow! That is a killer price. If they have your color I don't see how you can go wrong. Once the 2010's come out and people see that there really arn't any big changes, that 09 price could easily go up.
Of course I'm just speculating like everyone else.
That is a great deal if it's on the up and up. Something tells me I smell a bait and switch where you get there those two bikes in the add were "sold" but we can "make something work for you".
I just bought a 2009 Street Glide.
MSRP 19,950 with Accessories
Bought for $18.574.00
Haggle, They claim they dont know the 2010 line yet. So, its kid of a card game you and the dealer will play. If you like the bike then why wait just buy it
