i just don't understand why the right side (front) muffler end is black on the inside and the left (rear) is a golden brown color. I don't have the cash to drop down on an expensive dyno tune right at the moment that would be the best choice i know
Oops, I missed that part of your original message. To add to what Dennis said, on a stock system the left side emits maybe 30% of the exhaust the right does. If you have a Fuel Moto setup with Dyno-Tuned Jackpot mufflers that percentage will be even lower, maybe 10%. With the Jackpots my left muffler looks almost unused while the right has a normal accumulation of soot as you describe. This is assuming you have stock head pipes, but if you have TD's what you describe would not be normal. So, without looking at it and assuming you have stock head pipes, I would say that this is normal and wouldn't worry about it.

That is essentially was is going on. I just got some outdoor grill, black, hi-temp paint and painted the inside of the muffs. Now, I don't worry about it anymore..........lol.........
What year is your bike? Mine is an 08. When I put the Jackpot mufflers on the right one got black with soot a long time before the left one. The stock mufflers did the same. There is more exhaust coming thru the right muffler on mine. That is normal, even for the stock setup on later model bikes.
I reread your post but didn't see if you had true duals or not.
actually I have the Bub 7s true duals......
the end caps are chrome and its easy to see how they are discoloring....
