For those of you who have the Harley verison of the Zumo 550, have you experienced any power issues...
When I turn the unit on (on or off the bike) (with or without the SD Card installed)...it turns on and seems to cycle normally then shuts itself off. The battery appears to be charged...
Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmm.
I ran into something similar to this with my non-Harley Zumo once. The root cause turned out to be an mp3 file that it did not like. Took me a while to figure it out. Garmin support said at the time it was a known issue with certain files. Anyway, if you have recently added mp3s this may be related. Based on your observation that the problem is with or without the SD, you should check any mp3s that you have on the internal storage, the SD card ones aren't the problem.

My Zumo 450 (non-HD) shut down like this twice while running the v4.5 firmware. It would just go black with no power-interruption shutdown (countdown) and would start right back up with the power button. I upgraded FW, now on v4.7, and have had no recurrence. It did lock up on me for the first time about a month ago out of the blue, however, while the map was being displayed and satellites had been acquired. No recurrence of that one either.
I still have a problem with it from the beginning, which also happened with a replacement Garmin sent me. If I start the bike too quickly, before the spash screen has displayed, it often will not boot up (black screen). After that the only way to power it up is to do a soft-reset ("+" button + power simultaneously), as the power button alone won't do it. It's not a big deal, just aggravating, and after posting this issue on the Zumo forums I gather I'm the only person in history who's had this problem. Garmin says to wire it directly to the battery instead, but I want it to shut down with the ignition key and continue to live with this quirk.
