I read in one of your other posts about safety concerns for your 11 year old daughter. I know that was an emotional statement but the truth is that even with a perfectly good frame she is subject to increased danger just riding on the bike with you.

I never took my son on my bike with me nor did I let him ride with me in my car without being in a car seat or later, in a seat belt. I just chose to reduce the risk to him. I am not being critical of your decision to take your daughter with you as I am sure it will be something she remembers with pleasure later in life when she thinks of her dad.

Be safe and just enjoy your bike after it is repaired. I am sure that all will be well.

My .02 seems the dealer and MOCO are doing IMO everything possible to correct the situation, I've been in manufacturing for over 32 years and do work with programmed welders, no matter how good your process and quality checks are if it goes down a assembly line bad things will get out the door period it's impossible to check everything on every product, that's why we have a warranty.

I'd be concerned too but at this point let the process take it course enjoy the loaner and let the dealer fix the bike, I really believe the first time you get back on it and ride you will know whether it's right or not, and go from there.

Be Safe

I would be very upset as well. If you dont trust a tech to do the frame swap you could just have it welded up. If you sold me the bike and I found it though we would have a problem.

With all due respect to the York assembly line people, with the frame being replaced by an experienced dealer technician, you may actually be getting back a better built bike than you have ever had before.

I don't understand why so many think that a new frame is not the right thing to do. Replacing a frame is not a big deal and it won't hurt the value or anything else about the bike if done right.

Let me ask all of you who are against the frame swap one question. If it was your fault that the frame needed replaced, instead of the warranty issue that it is, would you demand that you give yourself a new bike? I doubt it. You would more than likely just fix the problem and not demand you get a new bike out of it.

There is no part on any bike that can't be replaced and it be just as good as it was or better than out of the factory.
