Went up to Gettysburg for a few hours yesterday and I saw a chitload of Road Glides. More than I have ever seen in one area. And saw at least 7-8 SE Road Glides within that few hour span.

Mine is similar, stage 1 is a must to cool her down. Next is whatever it takes to fit you comfortably; for me it was Heritage bars, clearview medium and a mustang solo. The lowers do help with the turbulence but weren't critical. They do warm up the ride quite a bit in 80+ temps.

I am wondering what is your favorite mod you have done to your beloved RG and WHY????? what made you want to customize that piece? The only thing I have done is sissy bar with pad.
I like all my mods and there are to many to list. I like my Roadglide so much I am going to buy another one (used) in a couple years as a second bike and reduce the time I ride my current bike so to keep it in the pristine shape that it is in now, plus then I will be gaurenteed to always have an air cooled Harley till my time is done on this great earth. No water cooled for me.....ever!

Floor board extensions. For leg comfort. Flander's G-2 handlebars. For shoulder and arm comfort. HD backrest for comfort. Highway pegs again for comfort. Ride all day and still able to function after arriving at destination.

Whew! Where to start?

Chopped Tour-Pak is probably the most impactful mod I've made - greatly increased storage convenience and provided a nice backrest for my lady.

HD Fairing Lowers really helped with the buffeting, although they are hot in the summer.

103" Big Bore Kit with SE Intake, Power Commander V and Monster Ovals provided a noticeable power improvement and the sound of the MO's is divine.

Clearview stock height windshield didn't do much, but since it's thicker than the stock windshield it stopped the vibrating and rattling.

Garmin Zumo 550 convinced me that I would never tour without a GPS; it makes impromptu side trips a pleasure and really helps to find addresses without the hassle of getting off the bike to consult a map.

Mustang Regal Touring Seat is of terrific quality and fit, but it's a bit cramped for my "full-size" posterior. I found the stock Ultra seat to be more comfortable, and I'm kinda looking for someone who might like to do a trade...

Next on the docket? Probably going to go with an oil cooler to see if I can tone the heat down a bit during the summer so I can keep my lowers on. And I'm on the lookout for a mounting dock for my iPhone to play through the stock stereo. Then there's an upgrade for the stock speakers in the works. And some custom wheels would be nice. Those new Tour-Pak hinges would be a good addition. And one of those gas cap Zumo mounts like sifularson has is on my list. And then glove boxes for my lowers. Oh wait.... I'm broke already!
