To the OP. my husband has a 06 Ultra and I asked him if he had any issues. He loves the bike and hasnt had any but did mention he received a letter from HD just after he bought it regarding the ignition switch/fork lock.
To quote, " In the interest of customer satisfaction, Harley Davidson is offering free replacement of the motorcycles fork mounted ignition switch/fork lock to owners of 2006 touring models produced up to Feb 15 2006. The replacement switch will feature reduced complexity of operation and will reduce damage potentially caused by customer misuse"
They go on to say this isnt a safety issue and the work will be done at no cost to the owner
