Just put a King Tour pak on my 08 RoadGlide and just wondering what everybody used to extend there antenna cable up to the tour pak plug in? I went to Radio Shack to see what they had and of course they had nothing that would work at this store anyway! If anybody has any ideas or options, please let me know, thanks in advance!!!!!!!
Nobody has ran into this issue? I did go on H-D site and see this AM/FM Antenna Kit part #76251-98A, is this something that will work for me? Of course the dealer didn't have any recomendations for me other than Radio Shack!
Ebay is a good source for this kind of stuff. Here's link for a 3ft extension as a example. You might consider a Y adapter cable instead and put a hidden antenna in your fairing for when you have tour paks off. http://cgi.ebay.com/Car-Radio-Antenn...lenotsupported
Thank you Acc, I will look into that 3 foot ext. and see if that will do the trick. I was thinking about the inside fairing antenna also, was looking at them on eglidegoodies. Thanks again.
Radio Shack discontinued basically ALL it's automotive stuff several years ago.
Most all car audio installation shops (and there's plenty of them around most places) will have extensions in various lengths. Wally-World has some too in the auto-stereo section, but doubtful you could look them up online, just have to go in...
You're welcome - we're all here to help. DO check a car audio shop first if there is one near or in comfortable riding distance. They will have a better selection of lengths. The ones at my least favorite store are at the car stereo display, hanging on the wall where the installation pieces are....
When I added the King Tour Pac to my 07 Street Glide, here are the parts I needed to jumper the antenna from the original mount to the tour pac
76219-00 adapter, antenna/cable
76229-00 cable, am/fm antenna jumper
76354-00 Antenna base
They are also included in some of the antenna relocation kits but so are a lot of parts you won't need that are already on the tour pac. Here is a link to an installation guide that shows the parts https://www.shop.harley-davidson-ros...s/76556-09.pdf
The tour pac is detachable so when I take it off I just unscrew the adapter from the antenna base and put the antenna back in its original spot.

I got a y connection fr. them to connect my hidden antena and reg antena ( w/o the antena just under the seat) and it works great. Someone said that Fry's have them if you have one in your area so maybe they also have extensions.
