I just installed driving lite visors (by harley) and they make the trim ring around the front of the lite sit cocked. Does anyone else have these on the E-Glide? do they make your trim ring around the lite sit funky? Its likt they are not fully seated on the light housing. Really not 'like' they aren't fully seated cuz they aren't. I was barely able to get the screw in to pull two halves of the ring back together.
Ideas?
I had those on a couple of bikes in the past. Best I can remember, you kinda have to "WORK" them around to get them right. They really can be made to fit, although sometimes it doesn't seem like it is ever gonna be possible to do so!
ok, i will keep at it. sure is a b!th# tho as th lamp will rotate in the housing and not line up with its notch, then it all falls out .
Will2002, it surely does seem like it'll never fit right. maybe i will go out and fight with them now instead of sittting here on the couch.lol. thanks
rocknrod, the eg's use different lenses and housings than our streetglides. they use the bigger lollipop type. rather than the bullet type. and it seems as though he may have something cocked or twisted. or perhaps the stalk has been bent at some time or another. should be easy to figure out.
I was able to even out the gap last nite...pushed on the lense as described above.
didnt necessarily seat it in the housing further but at least it sits even...the gap is bigger than before by maybe 1/32" but its now even...thanks all.
