I have the second one, in fact two. Used them in MArch to trailer from PA to FLA. worked great, see nothing about them that makes me want to spend nearly 200 bucks on the big name ones
Sorry to throw my .02 in as I don't have either. Just lettin' ya know that the current issue of Hot Bike's Baggers has a 20% off coupon in it for Harbor Freight. Depending on which one you get, could be worth pickin' up.
The 2nd one, stand type is the way to go. I have one and park my bike on it everytime I'm done riding. Hop off the bike and your done. These are Excellent for cleaning and maintenance.
Have two of the first ones mounted on the trailer and they work great. The second one I have tow of as well, one is mounted to garage floor so I can just drive up into it and step off the other I keep loose and use it to hold scoot up out on the driveway to wash her.
Harbor Freight can have some junk stuff on occasion but these two pieces are not, they are made well and work easily as well as the high buck versions.
I have the first one and I welded 1 inch square tubing to it to widen it and have a place for tie downs and it works great. I use it for washing, working on it if I dont need to jack it up (its easier to do the fluids on it with out a jack under it)and transporting my bike . Move it from the garage to the trailer
