I couldn't tell you if either is right or wrong, both seem to do the same thing. I kinda like the idea of using the kill switch myself. If, for no other reason, it will become habit and when you really need it the instinct will be to hit the switch, rather than taking your hand off the bar to chase the ignition switch. But, to each his own.
Huh, to each is own I guess, I use the kill switch, then turn the ignition off. Don't know what the difference is.
That's pretty much it. There is "no" difference. Either one will shut the engine down. I've "never" used the kill switch as a matter of routine and I've never had the engine fail to quit when I turned off the ignition!
I've never heard anyone who pushes the "kill switch, then ignition switch routine" give a logical reason for doing it that way. It's just a personal preference and nothing more. Personally, I don't see the point of having to flip two switches every time I fire it up or shut it down when one works just fine, but that's just me!
