Would any of you all do it yourselfers care to do a quick write up on the install process? Tools needed, total elapsed time, ancillary things like a lift or blanket or lights, etc...
Anyone?
Instructions will come with them. You will need a few different size sockets and wrenches. No speciality tools required. An old blanket or comforter is useful to lay the pipes and parts on as well as sitting on to get down close. A lift/jack is helpful but not necessary. I've changed several exhausts without a lift in the past. The most difficult and time consuming part is getting the stock mufflers off of the header pipes. WD-40 works great to help get them off. If you have never done pipes before allow yourself an hour or so. And one thing to remember is make sure you thoroughly clean the pipes before firing it up. Fingerprints can become permanant.
bub7 slip ons vs. bub7 true duals vs. duals w/ crossover? thats the only thing holding me up. all the photos and video look and sound damn good!!! cant wait to get the v&h off.
If you have a stock engine with just hi-flo and the slip-ons I can send you the map that Jamie sent me. It does have the timing retarded though.
The map was waiting on me when I got home Wednesday. I appreciate the offer. I got the pipes on last night and took a short ride this morning. I guess it's because I ran heavy equipment for years when I was younger, but the low rumble iritates my eardrums. I had no idea I would have this problem. I'm very disappointed bacause I love the sound. The Bub 7s were delivered on Tuesday, I put them on Wednesday, and they are for sale on Thursday. They have about 12 to 15 miles on them and as you can imagine, since they are two days old, they are perfect.

Sorry to hear that. I am sure they will sell pretty quick.
