can i remove abs from a bike? dont tell me its stupid or not worth it. I just want to know can you do it and not have to change the wheels to non abs wheels? thanks. I have rode two bikes of friends with abs and hate it , I found an 06 roadking police dirt cheap and want it but may opt to remove the abs this winter. any help thanks
I have had a few incidents with the abs that I would like to at least be able to disable it with a switch. On more then one occasion going down a steep hill its kicked in on me due to sand and scared the shiznit out of me. I know that ABS has a lot of useability but there are times it is dangerous imho.
You should be able to use the Aux switch with some wiring mods to have a on-off switch
I did that to my 08 SG I ran the ABS through my Aux switch . I turn it off and on as I see fit. I turn it on if the roads are wet, most of the time I have switched off. I like the option to lock up brakes if I need to .

did you just interupt the wiring coming from the ABS fuse with a relay and switch?

Rented an 08 with ABS. The first time it kicked in I was coming down a steep gravel road with ruts in the North Georgia mountains. I think that scared me worse than my wreck recently. Still, I like the idea of being able to shut if off if necessary.
