I finally picked up the new Ultra. I put a 100 miles on her driving back home. Initial impressions:
1) Cornering is better than I expected
2) This bike is just plain easy
3) Headset stereo is much better than my BMW was
I got her home and then started putting on the goodies. It is really fun tinkering with your machine and making the adjustments to get her just right!
I am really looking forward to some long cross country rides!

Rode an O9 Ultra today for the first time. Wow. They changed all the stuff I would have changed if I had been Harley. Smooth. Strong. Stable. I love it. Now if I can just get the money....
Now I understand what all the fuss is about.
Jkahd, welcome over from the Beemer. I just picked up an 09 Ultra two weeks ago and already have 1500 miles! I too am impressed with the HD headset, initially it rattled a little but improved 100% by putting spacersin to bring them closer to my and my wifes ears. Prett darn good sound quality.and my son who's an IPOD fanatic said today when we rode out to the Fire and Ice Hog Rally in Grants New Mexico (180 round trip) that he thought the sound quality on the passenger headset (form our friends 06 Ultra) was excellent, corroborating my wifes opinion. Just make sure they are centered and close to your ears and they are awesome! Enjoy
