Default 06 Ultra Have MPG Question?

I have an 06" Ultra. Has Power Commander with a Stage 1 and V & H Ovals.

I do mostly highway miles and noticed I am getting around 32 MPG...I took close to 3 gallons and had 90 miles on the odometer....I also get sopme "popping" on deceleration.....doesn't happen alot.....but it does happen....

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

I am also going to my dealer this week....I am getting the 12" shocks put on to lower the bike a bit for me....I will let him check the mapping

I have a 00EGC, stage I, true duels, SS 510G cams, dyno and a PCIII, if I keep it at or under 75MPH I get about 38MPG, 80 and above it's down where you are right now 30MPG.

I have an '07 Ultra, 103ci/SE255, stage I breather, duels, PCIII. I did a 175 mile trip a couple of weeks ago, stayed on 2 lane hiways, rode at 55-60mph all the way. I got 40.4 mpg on my bike, best it's ever done. I did a similar mile trip all interstate riding this past weekend, cruised at 76mph, got about 30-32 mpg. Those 15-20 mph cost me about 10 mpg. I could safely get 200 miles out of a 5 gallon tank at 55-60 mph, but bump it up to 75 mph and I can only get about 135 on a tank, then I better be close to a gas pump. PACO

Yeah..I did around 70-75 mph...so I guess I am OK at 32 MPG? I will do the 55-65 mph range next and see what happens

06 glide classic .. k&n , rush 1 3/4 slipons pcIII usb.. combination around town and highway used to be 39/41 but i added fuel to the low end as my dyno guy had it leaned way out and it studdered at low speeds. I noticed saturday on a mostly 80 and sometimes 80 plus 2 up highway ride that my fuel light came on about 10 miles earlier!. I stopped for fuel but I didnt check the mileage but it still had a little over 1/2 a gallon in the tank so id bet it was 37 mpg or better .. The last time i actually checked it was after adding the low end fuel and I still got 39 combined .. I just roughed it out from what I remember and i still got 38

Paco,

Was the 55-60 mph trip on 2-lane hwys in 5th gear? And the interstate trip in 6th gear I assume? Dramatic difference!

To the OP: your cruise range fuel ratio can perhaps be adjusted to give you more efficiency when at those higher speeds at a steady speed. 32 MPG is at the low end of normal. I'd say you should get upper 30's or 40 if you cruise with a steady hand on the throttle. Bikes do vary though so your's may be one of those that drinks gas more. Alot of guys here get in the 40's easily even with the Ultra's and loaded down.

I think we have the exact set up - even the colors. I have an 06 Ultra Stage one with V&H Ovals, K&N Intake and a PCIII. I get a consistent 39-40 mpg. That was when I was doing a lot of two up. Now the wife has a 1200L and I get to ride solo

It does sound like the map needs some work. I rarely get some decel popping.
