Default Ultra with No ABS

I have a chance to get a really great deal on an 09 Ultra this weekend based on my talks with the guy. The kicker is...it does not have ABS. Would you shop around and look for another one or take the deal?

This guy would be 13000 out the door with 7500 trade.

If you really want ABS, wait for the bike that you want. Otherwise, you'll be wanting another bike with ABS in several months.

From everything I've seen/heard, you'll probably take a huge hit on resale for a non-ABS. People who want it, won't buy, and people who don't, will expect to pay a lot less than comparable blue book.

Agree with everything. If you get this bike without ABS and you really wanted it, you wont be happy. But I can tell you, you will be very happy with the ABS.

i'm glad my 09 doesn't have ABS. ABS will not stop as short as non-ABS. I have ABS on two of my near new vehicles and the pucker factor is enhanced in a panic stop that carries you farther than you expected. The harder you push on the pedal the farther you go.

If you have ice water in your veins, you may be able to do better in a life or death panic. For 99.9% I am sure abs is better. This has also been beat to death on another thread.

I wouldnt let ABS get in the way of a good deal. I dont see what all the fuss is about, the 09 Ultra is a fantastic bike even without the ABS.
