Has anyone else received the US Music Royalty Fee notice from Sirius?

Effective July 29th, they want another $1.98 per month to cover the Royalty Fee established by the US Congress as part of the Copyright Act.

One tax/fee after another in this "free" country of ours..................

Yes.....I just became a subscriber 2 weeks ago...they told me about the fee.....but since I started my subscriptiom before July 29th, I didn't get that charge.....I only took 1 yr to start....maybe a mistake that I didn't take a longer subscription or even for life...but I wanted to make sure I really wanted the service. Right now it is GREAT!!! I use it on my bike...and when I am not riding I bought a home docking station and listen to it in my house!!!

This is why i went for the lifetime pay once option... Its not cheap but they will charge you monthly until its paid.. I think I spent $390 on the lifetime subscription.

Read the fine print on the "lifetime option" It is the lifetime of the radio ... when the radio goes bad or you want to upgrade to a new better radio your lifetime subscription ends and you have to buy another subscription.
The yearly is the best value you can change radios when you want or need to and you still get the balance of your prepaid years. They will want to charge you a 15.00 fee to switch radios but if you sweet talk the customer svc rep they can make the switch without the charge

Middle class defined as what pay range? I think Congress is looking at between $0.00 and $2,000,000.00 as "middle class" Just think of what it'll be once the Healthcare Program goes through.

Amazing that people think royalty fees were invented in the last 7 months....

Sirius web

Seems like it mentions the Sirius/XM merger in 2007.... WTF do I know though.
