Wink Call me crazy, but

I just love finishing up the service on my bike. Fresh fluids in all the holes, shiny new oil filter, new front tire, spark plugs gapped and installed, fresh air cleaner, cables lubed, front neck bearing greased, air just right in the shocks, primary chain adjusted....Man it's just nice knowing everything is right, and you could ride cross country and never miss a beat. Anybody else get this feeling after a little service work?

Not only do you save a little $$, but you know in your heart that the job is done right. I mean who cares more about your bike than YOU? I just find it rewarding.

I've always enjoyed workin' on them as much as ridin'. I know it's not true, but they always seem to run better after you give them TLC. When I met my new ol' lady it took a year before the shovelhead finally settled down, something always seemed to go wrong when she was on it, she actually started believin' Ol' Black did not like her. Well, Ol' Black got over that, but when I bought the new RK last year, that black bitch refused to start the very next day and has given me some crap ever since. We're going to do some shovelhead bonding this weekend, a bath, wax, oil, filters, adjustments, battery charge, etc. so I can get back into her good graces.

Craig, you didn't mention anything about air in your back tire, there is a thread on how to do that.

Thanks Leo, I'll make sure I read it, and then "Pump her Up!"

Hey Frog, I know exactly what you're talking about. I had an old Ironhead Sporty that got pizzed off when I bought a 550 Honda. Finally had to send her down the road. Finicky little wench!
