Default Check yer fasteners.

I had a lot of front brake drag lately " whoosh, whoosh sound when slowly riding" and also a small clunk in front, so I took put bike on lift and took apart calipers and cleaned everything & put little anti seize on pins and reassembled, brakes work great now. Anyway, I was checking different front end components & found the front motor mount ( rubber one) loose, I could spin large lower washer & bolt very freely by hand.
I unbolted & cleaned threads, added a bit of blue loctite & tightened to 20 ft lbs.
Not sure how much longer I could have went before bottom nut on mount would have fell off.

Rubber mount looked good. Hopefully that took care of the little "clunk" in front.

Just a heads up to check your fasteners every so often.

I found a front rubber mount to frame crossmember bolt loose and retorqued it during my last check. It is one of two frame bolts and the other one was tight so the loose bolt didn't cause a noticeable performance problem. Performing the critical fastener check periodically takes time but it is cheap insurance against a preventable problem.

i'm surprised to see that more riders aren't doing a pre flight inspection. it's your expensive bike. so many just hop on and ride, without any consideration to tire pressure, bolts, brake fluid levels, etc. it isn't magic, or luck that keeps a bike running tight and right, it's paying attention to . when i go to a bike rally i always bring along a small bag with 1157 bulbs and a phillips screwdriver, cause at nite you'll see a few bikes come through the gate with no taillight at night. i don't mind donating a bulb to keep someone from getting run over. someone might just be considerate enough to do something nice for me someday when i need it.

The clunk in the front could be a sign your neck bearings need adjusting or replacing. Just my .02.
