Both are nice touches for a bike.

But if you think "Black" will ever replace "Chrome" just try asking some Goldwing riders. LOL

Nope, it's just a fad. It wont be around much longer than the denim paint.

Put a bunch of black parts on my 2004 Road King and doing the same with my 09 Street Glide. Went with about 50/50 black and chrome on the RK and doing almost all black on SG. It is a lot easier with a ton more available parts now. Back when I did the King, it was mostly pull pieces off and powder coat.

I think black has its place on certain bikes. But IMO it has to be flat black and all black....not just here and there. Shiny black just looks plastic and cheap.

Unlike chrome, I don't think you can highlight a bike with black parts here and there. Or at least I haven't seen a bike yet done in a way that it looks good.
