I'm think about getting one for my Bagger. I think they look very cool. Anybody here run an open primary on their bagger? How does it look? Is there room for the Footboards? Regrets? How about some pictures. Thanks guys.
open primary i also think look cool. but the stock primary works well, it's idiot proof, and there isn't really much to maintaining it. and another benefit to the stock primary, is it's already paid for. as far as getting the primary side to lookin cooler, have you thought about the real chrome inner primary, not one of the cheezy bolt on kuryakyn covers, but the real one? they look really great, and you'd not be sacrificing any dependability either

Why would an open primary be any less reliable than the stock one? No oil. No chain tensioner.

I would think the "unknowns" would be more apt to come into play here: rocks, road trash, exposure, bugs, possums, and armadillo parts down south here.

And pant legs, socks, boot laces, etc., they look cool but don't know why you would want to do that on a tourer unless you don't ride it much .....
friend had on on a run he picked up a small bolt that shredded the belt He went back to the standard primary after that and the cost to replace the belt
