Default A little info on the E3 needed.

Time for a new rear tire on my 08 UC so i am looking at the E3 but i see the MT90HB-16 and the MU90HB-16. I just want to know which one worked for you? looks like Dennis Kirk has the best price.

I want to change the pads too since I'm going in there anyway so which ones did you use and where did you get them if you changed yours? sorry about all the questions but at least i am not asking what oil i should use.

here's a handy chart:

so it really depends on what size you want to go with. i prefer to stay as close to stock as i can, but some folks have said they were able to mount a 150 with no issues. yes, the e3 is a 90 aspect ratio and stock is an 85, but it is a pretty negligible difference.

I went with the MU90 on my 05 and check with E-Moto tires. I got a front and a rear for $175 to my door.

The MU90B-16 E3 rear is .01" taller and .06" wider than the stock MU85B-16 D402 and will fit fine. I've had one on my '07 for 16k miles and it is a winner in every category, especially durability.

How did you get both tires so cheap? They show as ~$210 on the website for the pair.

The chart that SKRATCH posted should explain it all. I just replaced my tires last week with E3's. Too early to tell, but I haven't heard one bad thing about them and so far so good. The MT's will match your stock 130 for the front, which is what I went with. And the MU's will be a shade wider than a 140, which is what I went with. And for my 03, that is probably the widest I can go at the rear. I will find out for sure how they handle in a few days when I leave for my trip to the Hills. I'm sure they will work out.

As for your pads, a lot of folks are happy with the Lyndall Z-plus pads.

Good luck.

use the mu on the rear, mt on the front. they fit and work great. i got about an eighth of an inch clearance on the right side of the rear fender to tire sidewall. i don't know how another half inch of width would have worked on my 08 streetglide. the mu worked out perfect for me. i read what iclick posted before buying the tires. glad i did. the 160's are the one which is half inch wider than the mu, and there are guys who claim it'll fit, but i can't afford to experiment. glad i saw iclicks post before buying.
