they look mighty sharp, but i'd be concerned if the naugahyde would hold up in weather extremes, as the foam backing may tend to break down also. just a thought.
SoftDash is made using TPO, not Naughahyde (Vinyl). It is also used in Marine applications and even roofing materials. 3M weather tested them for us during development. SoftDash carries a 10 year warranty. Both layers, the foam and top-coat are solid TPO.
Saw them at the dealer show. Very high quality. I did want one until I heard the price and not having a fairing cap to match was not my thing
Thanks for noticing the high quality. We spent a lot of time and effort creating it. They do and always have come with a matching fairing-cap (FLH) and matching or contrasting glove box lids (Road Glide). Pricing was competitively matched to a new H-D painted set (we were $100.00 less than H-D on Road Glides). SoftDash is currently 30% off during the 'Black Friday Sale'.
Might be worth it if they can offer it in more of the HD OEM colors....Dark Blue Peral would be nice but I am sure that would be tough to achive.
This is more difficult that you can imagine. For Road Glide alone from 2007-2008 there are 12 colors. To color match a blue for example, we'd have to custom blend a color ($2,500.00 just for the blend) then a minimum product quantity in feet ($10,000.00). For the 12 Road Glide colors that's $150,000.00. We'd have to sell a lot of inner-fairings to justify the cost. Using a color-complimenting pallette allows us to cover a broad spectrum, gives a completely different look from paint.
They look really nice. If you ever need someone to test out one of them on a Road Glide and provide I review, I'm more than willing to be your Ginnie Pig.
