Went with the S&S 510's w/gear drive, new lifters, oil pump spring and adjustable push rods on my 2002 RK. Rode her home today after indy worked on her for 2 hours. Sweet ride, nice power in the upper rpm did not notice any whirring of the gears as some have noticed. Nice lope to the idle.
Also had some pretty hard wear on the old chain tensioner shoes. Had 21K on them bu they were over half way worn, the rear shoe was the worst and had some nicks in it.
Anyhoo, glad I had it done and like the 510's even though some say its not enough punch, it is fine for me.

You runnin' a fuel management system? I just did Andrews 21G geared cams and the bike runs great (and cooler). No fuel management.
RK,
I have an 02 with Hooker Tuned Flow, Power Commander and went with the 510g's as well. Was very pleased with the upgrades. Dyno'd without cams, 65.27 power 78.74 torque.
With cams, 77.84 power 87.82 torque. Another thing I noticed was how free the engine felt. I had roughly 20k and shoes were almost worn out.
Again, I am happy as I am sure you are too.
Enjoy and be safe -
