Did you noticed that in the touring family you may go for the Road King or the Road King classic... (I think every body knows it)... BUT when you have a closer look at the Road King, you see that all the caracteristics are from the Road King classic...
So does that mean that there is only ONE model for Road King ? The Road King Classic ???
It's already the case on HD's european sites... The only Road king shown on the sites is the Road King classic... !!?? (I don't like the classic one...)
I would like also give my point of view about the colors they propose... Except for the black one... where are the colors that make an HD a bike that everybody looks at when passing on the street ?
I tought I could be a 2010's owner... but the MOCO failed to persuade me...
Don't forget the Street Glide when you are shopping, they did away with the Road King Custom, but kept the Road Glide.....if you want a detachable windshield 2010 touring bike you are now limited to the two you mentioned.
Myself, I've got an '07 pearl white/gold over cobalt blue Road King Classic that turns every head on the road and parking lot....So I understand your dismay at the new colors.
He's from Europe.....They think differently over there.....Nuff said.
Just "click" on "Key features" for the Road King "std" on the US site and have a look... you'll see the pictures of the classic one... (exhaust, saddelbags...)
The models Harley sell vary in each market. Here in the UK we don't get every model you can get in the USA, but the XR1200 was initially sold over here before you got it.
I have tried in the past to buy new in the UK a model only available in the USA, but with no success. If you live in the USA you really shouldn't bother with what is available abroad! With rare exceptions you have a better choice than we get.

Nor have we in Belgium ... but I am so disapointed that the Road King "std" doesn't exist anymore...
I don't like the metallic curl of the saddelbags of the classic Road King...
Does these saddelbags exist WITHOUT these ugly curls ?
The HD site has made a boo-boo but believe me the standard RK does have hard bags and not the leather ones shown in the pic under the features tab.
probably it does in USA... but i've just received an E-mail from a salesman in Belgium and the ONLY available Road King for 2010 in Belgium will be the Classic one...
