Opinion on Mapping
Raptor,
I agree with you about the speed thing. I am not looking to get more speed out of my bike. I bought the wrong brand for that. Can't really see why you would buy a bike that does 120 or better if you never take it on a track. But, I am looking for more of the traditional HD sound that I think has been lost over the years due to the requirements imposed by Uncle Sam. However, I have done some reading that if you change the muffler it changes the flow and could cause issues. I wonder sometimes as I said in my original post. Are they just trying to get you to purchase something that they sell. Does putting aftermarket mufflers on make that much of a difference?

After long debates and a lot of research I put slip on mufflers on for sound then had the dealer do a dyno to check the air to fuel ratio to make sure I was not running lean. I was not, it was in fact running richer than with stock mufflers. Once you get your slip-ons installed have a dyno run done on your bike to make sure, it only cost me 60 bucks. Good luck and ride safe bro.
