I agree with you and think the letters are too small.
Even worse to me is that they go uphill. Looks like an unbalanced shaking hand put the sticker on!! I went and looked at my tank and the letters go almost straight across.
I haven't seen it in person yet, but I was under the impression that it is a solid color, not a metallic or pearl. Also, the 'swoosh' looks pretty subtle.
If I remember correctly, there is a Scarlet Red "Pearl" offered on the 2010 CVO Ultra Classic. I would like to see that color and compare the two.
i painted a 57 chevy several years ago, stock red/orange, and all the lights in the booth were flourescent.. they tend to make the red-orange appear toward the rose or pink side. get it out in the sunlight or in incandescent light and the orange shows back up. that's just an observation from my experiences anyway.
