Why'd they move the 2010 RG Fairing?

They could have made the changes due to pressure from PETA. The new smoother angle will allow dogs, deer, slow pedestrians and even bugs to gently be redirected from the fatal splat of a sharp impact.

I don't get it...how come some Road Glide fairings look smaller than others? Some Road Glides I'll see and really like (I actually contemplated trading in the RK on one over the winter) and then some I see and the fairing just seems huge and over bearing.

Quote: It seems they raised the fairing on the new RG .8" and tipped it forward 2 degrees. Any ideas why?Marc
They look the same to me.
If they made a 2 degree change how much can that really do??

For some reason the black one looks better.

Quote: I believe the change was to help with rider comfort, and also the "BIG" reason.....to enable the use of the "Vented Lowers" from the Electra Glide.
AHA, that's it! Never thought of that. I went and looked at one today. The fairing is definitely higher and the tilt has caused the top of the doors for the fairing pockets to be flat. I think the old setup looks a bit better. The lowers.. why didn't I think of that?
