It seems they raised the fairing on the new RG .8" and tipped it forward 2 degrees. Any ideas why? Purely a styling change or to clear the new bigger front wheel or what?? Could it be to reduce buffeting? They had to redo the fairing to frame mount and make new lower stays so there must have been a good reason to go to the trouble. Hmmm...

I believe it is compensating for the 18" front wheel and the lowered rear shocks. I saw one Friday at a dealership I hated it when I first saw it on the H-D site but in person it grows on you, the one I looked at was the Scarlet Red. That color just flat looks fast might not be for everyone but I'd have it and that 2-1 exhaust sounds decent for a stock muffler. And the rear end looks real good too. I think that bike will be a hit also cruise is an up-charge on Road Glide now. You will have to do a bit to it to make it comfortable for long hauls the seat is hard and the shocks are low and the wind deflector is useless but its a custom now and it looks cool. Check one out I would like to see the Vivid Black before I decide on one.
Saw one today. I like what I saw. Really looks cool. It grows on ya. The red is sorta orange, but it is a CUSTOM. I want to see the black. I like the black denim, but would like a more durable, hard clear topcoat that denim does not have. Anyways I'm thinkn' towards one. Only time will tell............hdman

I was at my dealership yesterday looking at one in the Scarlet red color. They start at $18,999. He told me they are Street Glides with Road Glide fairings, nothing more. If you compare the features of the Street Glide to it, they are exactly the same. A few nice new features for 2010 though. Check one out.
I had the chance to check out and ride a red 2010 RGC today. It was the first time I had ridden a touring bike at all. I love the color and the hotrod looks of the bike. It's very comfortable, and on the test ride, I was immediately comfortable behind that big fairing. Although I didn't get the bike over 55 mph, the amount of wind behind the fairing even with the chopped windshield was minimal.
I went into the dealership convinced I wanted a Street Glide. I had the chance to ride one immediately after the Road Glide Custom. I was wearing a t-shirt with no jacket. On the RG, my shirt just ripped in the wind, no floating at all. Before I even got over 30 mph on the Street Glide, my shirt was floating, my helmet was vibrating, I hated it. The fairing also feels very close to the rider.
