Cost to powder coat a tour pack large luggage rack??????
Howdy Folks,
Picked up a good but rusty large luggage rack at a swap meet.Anyway was thinking of getting it Powder Coated and just wondering if anyone had an idea of what i can expect to pay????.... Thanks in Advance....R.W.
Just depends really. Should be less than $100 bucks. I had three different quotes for a primary, $110, $65, and $55. Could depend on how much he has to clean it up. If it has flaking chrome, he might charge more or might not even be able to quarantee it's longevity.
If you can find a sheet metal shop in your area they probably offer powdercoating. "Black Wrinkle" is what is on the Night Train and it looks really good and doesn't show imperfections or scratches as much. If they mix your part in with another batch they should be able to do it for $20. It may need to be lightly sandblasted to remove any plating or rust.
