How tall? I've got a set of 16" ones in the garage I just took off my Fatboy before I sold it.

The single wall taller apes will flex in your hands like a spring. Been there.

Wild1 chubby's are double wall construction and absolute top quality. Solid as a rock.

I installed 14" chubby's and lovin it. Also used Magnum cables and brake hoses, plus HD chrome controls and levers along with HD extended wires already attached to the switches...My parts alone totaled 1000 bucks.

It's hard to save money when installing apes. You are going to spend 350 on cables and hoses and another chunk on on wiring unless you trust your soldering skills and are good at repinning and crimping the multi pin connectors. If you go with chrome controls, that's another 400-500....Don't scrimp on flexy bars.

Oh, also make sure to buy the HD one piece riser top clamp so bars don't crack tween the risers.

Edited to add last piece of advice. If you want to make certain your bars don't spin in the risers, then insert a piece of drywall sanding cloth under the bars before you clamp them to the lower risers.

I bought the 13" Cyclesmith bars and stainless braid cables and brake lines for about 450 bux two years ago. I'm sure they've gone up sence then. I bought them off ebay from Hill Country Customs in TX. If you go with 13", you don't need to extend your wires, just rerout them under the radio. OH, be sure you debur the holes where the wires go in and come out of the bars so they want cut the insolation on the wires.
