Well....I had my truck in the shop Wednesday....and Im doing some bathroom remodeling on the house. Wasnt worried....if I needed some 'parts'....I could just hop on the bike. Well...low n behold...I get on it and 'womp....womp.....womp'.....battery's all but DEAD!!! The bike's an '07 EGS....was new and I've had it for over 2 yrs now....Im guessing the original only last about 3 yrs???
Which (if any preference) are most of you replacing with???
Hoping to NOT get 'flamed' here by asking....I did search on 'FLHT Battery'....and got 3 pages of topics....including 1 listing a bike for sale....lol.
Try charging it. My '05 still has the original battery. Haven't rode it much lately with the newer bike and all. Found it dead at the start of a couple rides a few months back but now that it is being ridden regularly again (wife), the battery is staying up fine, and that's starting a 103" as well.
If you need one, I'd just get the HD 66010-97C. Or if you want to save some cash and have a Deka distributor near you get the Deka ETX30L which is the identical battery in the Deka case (since Deka makes the HD battery).
