Handlebar difference between TBW and cable

Papi, i am doing the same thing on my RK. I have non tbw bars that need shortening, notched and drilled out to accept the tbw sensor.
I am taking the bars and sensor to work tomorrow and ill mic the tbw sensor and update with that measurement tomorrow.
On a side note: I am just north of you in Arlington

tbw measurement
0.808 inches thick and 5.20 inches from the end the wires stick out to the backing plate that seats on the end of the bar. this is a se unit that i bought to replace my bars with soon. that way i don't have to mess with the green plug. still can't decide if i am going to do it or have the shop do it.

So from reading through this thread, my lowrider s has tbw, this means I have to buy tbw grips to replace my stock ones, is there a way to modify an aftermarket set of standard grips to operate the tbw module? Pickins are slim on tbw style grips and I want brass/bronze which makes it even harder
