Around 11 oz. will do it. Harley's false precision is sometimes laughable.

I agree. The manual says 10.8 oz. and when I changed my fork oil it measured right below 11 oz. in my graduated beaker, so obviously some remained in my fork. I replaced it with the same amount of SE Heavy and the front end feels firmer with a more controlled fork action, but without a harsh ride. I think if I was filling a dry fork I would use 11 oz.

harley always says low like 10.8 oz cause unless you completely clean everything you will not get all the oil out. I believe when the shock is built they put right at 12oz in them. or something close to that.

In the past they often (always?) gave two specs, one for a dry and another for a wet fill. But my '07 manual only gives one spec, which is 10.8 oz. for EG's (with damper valve), 11.1 oz. for RK's. However, they also expect you to use their special tool to check the level and add as needed, so maybe that's the reason for only one spec.
